During the past year,  I have been experimenting with the art of papermaking.  I am especially interested in the use of local natural materials in the papermaking process and have been incorporating some of my handmade papers into my furniture.  These works have been very well received.  The image below is one of my favorites. This is a five foot long sideboard style chest with center opening double doors,  made entirely of local materials  ...  Aromatic live-edged Atlantic Red Cedar top, live and laurel oak legs, driftwood detailing with a few shells and other natural elements.  The cabinet is surfaced with one of my handmade papers which featured local Long Leaf Pine Needles and Spanish Moss.

While my handmade papermaking continues to evolve  ...  I am also exploring some works in papercasting  and papercast works with other natural fibres.  I am hoping to reveal some of these new works within the next few months.
