My furniture is inspired by the timeless beauty of nature  ...
As nature provides,  no two pieces exactly the same.
Giant white birches and oaks and maples lined those magic pathways  ...
Aesthetically pleasing animated pieces  ...  functional and strong  ...  which also retain the character of the trees from which they are made  ...
the lake dancing along beside me in the early morning sun.
The possibilities are endless.  Ideas for new projects seem to spring from everywhere.
this is the desired result  ...  and ultimately the measure of rustic work at it's best.
The tree people in my head are constantly dreaming up new designs  ...
Early Work   -  circa 1964
by a walk in the woods that delights the senses and renews the spirit  ...
The character of the woods guide me as I combine unique elements into one of a kind creations  ...
by the soft caress of a warm spring breeze.
and nothing was better than wading knee deep through their fresh fallen leaves on a crisp fall day  ...
The place seemed wild.  Gnarly old roots grabbing at your feet  ...  the smell of the forest floor  ...  chipmunks racing about.
When I was a child, walking the woodland paths around Lake Cochichewick always made my spirits soar.
I create most of my furniture entirely from recycled woods  ...
